Always You is a feelgood romance where everyone is super nice and super cool and super attractive (and super rich) and no matter how many tragedies come along, the sun just keeps on shining. Even a darker-than-dark plot twist at the end doesn’t offset the saccharine.
Fans of lighthearted student-teacher romances that don’t really breach any taboos (she’s 18 and would be in college but for an accident, and he’s only 23 and a friend of the family) will love this.
Even all the mother figures are super nice and super young and super attractive.
This is an enjoyable book, but it won’t rend your soul with angst or thrill it with delight. It’s just a very sweet read with a minimal amount of student-teacher-sneaking-around frisson.
